The Swazi, who take their name from a former chief, are close neighbours of the Zulu and similar in custom and language. As regards dress they favour animal skins and brightly coloured cloths; the colour of the cloth varying according to the tribal district. Similarly, the type of turban, by its colour and arrangement, indicates the social position of the woman.
