Neck and Neck

Since his first 'movement' painting - "Fighting Cocks" - Tretchikoff has depicted several sporting scenes. His reason for portraying movement is a desire to recapture the excitement of the spectators and the event. In contrast to the frozen action of the photo-finish that is normally published in the newspapers.
